It was Xu Shaochun, chairman and CEO of the Kingdee Group, who first proposed that the company should go digital into the ERP era, and that ERP should no longer focus on 'resources' or 'planning'. 2020

On 17 March 2020, Dong Mingzhu, Chairman of Gree Electric, Xu Shaochun, Chairman of the Board of the Kingdee Group, Appotronics Corp CEO Bo Lianming, and Bill Liu, Chairman of the Board of Royole Corporation, all took part in a live public broadcast at Gree's headquarters in Zhuhai to discuss the new direction of China's manufacturing industry after the pandemic.

On 15 May 2020, at the second Kingdee Cloud Cosmic Summit, Chairman of the Board Xu Shaochun invited a group of customers and partners to smash a chimney that symbolised the monolithic digital structure of traditional companies. By breaking from these traditional corporate structures and models of thinking, the company can build a new industrial Internet cloud ecosystem and enhance its enterprise business capability (EBC). This is the seventh time that Kingdee has broken old traditions.

In July 2020, Kingdee's shares were named by the Hang Seng TECH Index as one of the top 10 major constituent stocks (4.47% weighting).

On 10 July, Kingdee International announced that its cloud service was expected to grow by 40% to 50% during the first half of the year.

On 27 August at the 2020 (fifth) Big Data Industry Ecological Conference—led by the China Electronics Information Industry Development (CCID) and organised by CCID Media and the China Big Data Industry Alliance—Kingdee was selected as one of the top 30 digital facilitators of 2020. Several practical examples of Kingdee's solutions were also selected to feature in the book The Construction of China's Digital Transformation Ecosystem in 2020 - The Top 100 Projects.


2019

On 11 May 2019, at the first Kingdee Cloud Cosmic Summit, Xu Shaochun, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Kingdee Group, smashed through a huge 'cocoon' that symbolised the restrictions stifling corporate digital transformation, pointing to the 'seven sins' of traditional IT.

This is the sixth time since 2014 that Kingdee has broken away from the restrictions of traditional management, such as computers and servers.

On 13 August 2019, Kingdee International Software Group Limited (00268.HK) announced its interim results for 2019, with revenue from its cloud business growing by 54.9% as Kingdee cloud transformation continued to advance steadily.

On 27 August, Yundee, an industrial Internet platform joint venture between Kingdee and China Unicom, was officially unveiled and launched at the 2019 China Industrial Internet Conference and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Digital Economy Conference.

The first '2019 Industrial Internet White Paper' proposed that 'enterprise digitalisation has moved from the ERP (enterprise resource planning) era and entered the era of EBC (enterprise business capability)'. Kingdee Cloud Cosmic, a ground-breaking cloud service platform for large enterprises, was launched at Kingdee's 25th anniversary celebration on 8 August 2018. It is designed to help large companies drive digital transformation and business innovation.

On 30 October 2018, at the Yanqi Lake Entrepreneur Forum, Xu Shaochun released his personal public number to directly communicate and establish close links with business owners.


2017

On 4 May 2017 at Peking University, Kingdee officially upgraded the Kingdee Cloud ERP to Kingdee Cloud.Alongside guests including Professor Chen Chunhua from the university's National School of Development, Xu Shaochun destroyed an office chair, which symbolised the identity of the boss and the CEO.

On 15 October 2017, Kingdee unveiled its new logo and announced the launch of the Chinese Management Model 50+ (C50) Forum.In November of the same year, IDC released a SaaS report and Kingdee overtook its international counterparts to lead the SaaS market.


2016

In 2016, Kingdee entered into a strategic partnership with Aisino to provide low-cost and high-efficiency integrated financial and taxation management services for corporate users.

In 2016, Kingdee and Kinco Automation jointly released their smart factory solution at Hannover Messe, with the idea that 'a cutting edge smart factory can also be built in a city centre'.

In 2013, Kingdee’s software park in Beijing opened its doors.It was Kingdee’s third software park after Shanghai and Shenzhen, and is the largest among the three.Kingdee continued to expand the businesses of its Beijing R&D center, northern district, middleware and medical software companies, and based in Beijing its largest cloud management experience centre and departments overseeing some of its new products and services.

In 2012, Kingdee Weibo, China's largest corporate social platform, announced that it had officially upgraded to 'Cloud-Hub'.Cloud-Hub, meaning building a 'cloud hub' for customers, sought to create a welcoming and harmonious working environment for enterprises by utilising cloud and social networking technologies, enabling employees to communicate and share more conveniently and efficiently, and helping companies lower communication costs, improve work efficiency and become more successful.

In 2012, One Foundation and Kingdee signed a cooperative agreement at the inaugural China Charity Fair.Kingdee helped the foundation build a well-functioning and transparent charity information platform by using a socialised ERP system, allowing for transparency in each stage of a charity project, from initiation to implementation. In May 2008, Kingdee donated RMB 1.81 million to Wenchuan County after it was struck by a magnitude 8.0 earthquake.

In 2007, Youshang.com, the predecessor of Kingdee Jingdou Cloud and an online bookkeeping and business management platform developed by Kingdee, was officially unveiled, making Kingdee one of the first companies to break into the domestic SaaS cloud service market.x

It is not only necessary to get a head start over competitors in the domestic market, but also to have the courage to develop in the fierce international market.

In 2003, Kingdee launched a brand-new operation model in China's management software industry of "product leadership, partner first", and released the first domestic strategic enterprise management solution with BPM as the core - Kingdee K/3V10.0.

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, in 2003 Kingdee issued 2000 stock options to each employee in a bid to encourage employees to participate in the future of the group.

2003 also marked the official release of Kingdee's next-generation enterprise application software, EAS for J2EE V3.0, with Microsoft President Bill Gates presenting the short-message-approval function of Kingdee EAS.EAS's slogan was 'This year is 2004', meaning 'the company will stay ahead of its peers only by focusing on the future'.


2002

In 2002, Kingdee supported education, gave back to the society, and donated money to Baisha Township, Yuanjiang City to build Kingdee Hope Primary School.

Kingdee donated a K/3 ERP system worth RMB 20 million to Shenzhen University, and both parties jointly set up the training centre of Kingdee K/3 Enterprise Management of Shenzhen University.


2001

In 2000, Kingdee invested a huge amount of money to establish APUSIC Software Company, whose main business is the R&D and sales of middleware products. It has injected core competitiveness into Kingdee, which is a leader in the field of enterprise management and e-commerce application solutions.The main product of APUSIC Software Company is the Web-Enabled application server based on J2EE technology, which is the first J2EE middleware product with independent intellectual property rights launched by a domestic software manufacturer.

In 2000, Kingdee's President Xu Shaochun met with Microsoft President Steve Ballmer.Kingdee entered into a platinum partnership with Microsoft, and the Kingdee 2000 and K/3 systems became the world's first applications to successfully migrate to Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000.With Kingdee becoming the first Chinese financial and enterprise management software maker to pass the Windows 2000 application compatibility testing, Kingdee 2000 and K/3 systems would develop into excellent Windows 2000-based enterprise distributed application solutions, thanks to their application of advanced network technologies.
In 2000, Kanba.com, the first professional business community website in China tailored to meet the wealth management needs of Chinese business executives, officially went online in Beijing.

In 1999, Kingdee released Kingdee K/3, the country’s first Internet-based ERP with a three-tier structure. The software was included in the national-level torch project and appeared at the first China Hi-Tech Fair.Until today, Kingdee K/3 is still very popular among Chinese enterprises.

In 1998, Kingdee introduced venture capital of 20 million yuan from International Data Group (IDG), becoming the first company in my country's financial software industry to introduce venture capital, and entered the enterprise management software market in an all-round way.

In 1996, Kingdee released the Kingdee financial software V2.51 for Windows, the first Windows-based financial software in China. The China Software Testing Center confirmed the software as the country’s first robust financial software for Windows.

In 1995, Kingdee launched the version 1.0 of Kingdee financial software For Windows, which started a major shift in the accounting work platform and helped 12 million financial personnel to successfully get rid of the abacus.

In 1994, Kingdee launched V3.0 financial software.Professor Yang Jiwan, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a well-known accountant, wrote an inscription for Kingdee: "The sea of accounts is boundless, and Kingdee is the shore."

Mr. Xu founded Kingdee in hopes that its products could trickle down to financial personnel and help liberate them from the drudgery of financial work. The “-dee” of the name Kingdee means “butterfly.”The name is derived from the lyrics of “Sinian (Longing),” a Mao A’min song: “Where do you come from, my friend? You are like a butterfly flying into my window.”

1991

In July 1991, Kingdee founder Xu Shaochun established Shenzhen Aipu Computer Technology Co., Ltd.

In November of that year, Mr. Xu independently developed Aipu Computer Accounting System V1.0, which passed an assessment conducted by Shenzhen’s finance bureau. The software provided technological support to Shenzhen in its effort to promote the computerisation of accounting systems in the city, and helped break the dependence of foreign enterprises on imported financial management software.
